Spike’s Secret Mission started all the way back in December 2008. I started making these felt plush toys whilst waiting for paint to dry in the studio and soon ended up with a small army of the little critters. I’m not sure where the idea came from to unleash them upon the unsuspecting streets of Cardiff but that is what happened and has continued ever since.
Each little monster is tagged with a little label that reads: “Hello! My name is *****. I’m lost! Please take me home and look after me!”
One or two people have managed to track me down via the likes of Flickr, Twitter and the just generally via the interweb and it’s nice to hear that they’ve found a nice home, but for the most part I never find out what happens to them.
